Since 2018, GA-20 has led a traditional Blues revival, fusing Blues, Country, and Rock 'n' Roll into a sound all their own. Guitarist Matt Stubbs, guitarist/vocalist Cody Nilsen, and drummer Josh Kiggans focus on story, melody, and mood, drawing on artists like Otis Rush, Howlin' Wolf, and Hound Dog Taylor. Using vintage instruments and live, off-the-floor recording, the trio creates an authentic, timeless sound.
In their short history, GA-20 have notched 3x #1 Billboard Blues chart toppers, 4x Boston Music Awards for Best Blues Act, and multiple Blues Music Award nominations while climbing radio and streaming charts worldwide. They've shared stages and tours with Tab Benoit, Tommy Castro, George Thorogood, The Black Crowes, and Devon Allman, among others.
On July 31, 2026, the band releases Blues Now, a new collaborative studio album with the legendary Charlie Musselwhite, out on New West Records. Their 2026 festival run includes Tampa Bay Blues Festival, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Live Oak Music Festival (CA), Chenango Blues Festival (NY), and Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, among others.
