Established over 22 years ago, McCurdy's is located in a 4,000 sq. ft. showroom, surrounded by a
gated courtyard. The theatre - with no obstructed views - is the perfect size and shape for
today's Stand-up and Improvisation performances. Even at the very back of the room, seats are
no more than 40 feet away from the stage. With a sound system second to none, each customer is
provided the same brilliant auditory experience. In addition, we are excited to feature a brand
new, state-of-the-art, digital projection system.
The Theatre was established in 1988. For ten years, it was located at the Holiday Inn Marina.
There was a short run at The Big Kitchen on Clark Road, before the move to our current location
in the nostalgic Teatro Theatre. The Theatre underwent almost a complete facelift and was
redesigned to meet the specifications of McCurdy's. If you are a long time resident, you will notice that we kept some of the original architecture.
The large front display, the statues in the courtyard, the statuettes and arches in the Theatre,
and the chandelier over the exit are all from the old Teatro.
Over the past 22 years, comedians who have performed at McCurdy's read like a Who's Who list of
the greatest names in comedy: Jeff Foxworthy, Chris Rock, Darrell Hammond, Larry Miller, Tommy
Chong, Elayne Boosler, Soupy Sales, Judy Tenuta, Pat Paulsen, Jeff Dunham, Jimmie "JJ" Walker,
Jim Breuer, Richard Lewis, Larry "The Cable Guy", Kevin Pollack, Ron White, Ralphie May, David
Brenner and Bobcat Goldthwait. McCurdy's has also produced charity concerts with such comedic
legends as The Smothers Brothers, Phyllis Diller, and Bob Newhart.

We want all of our guests to have the same enjoyable experience. The comfort of our guests is top priority. Our Theatre has no stairs and extra-wide aisles, and is accessible to all disabled guests. When making a reservation, please let us know about your special requests for wheelchair accessible seating and our box office will be happy to arrange it. Restrooms can accommodate wheelchair guests. Parking for handicapped guests is available outside our front gates.
