Our classes are designed to boost your confidence and improve your communication skills, which is
important in any job or social situation.
The workshops are tailored to meet the needs of each individual. Although some of our students have
prior stage experience, most of our students have never stepped foot on a stage. Not only are the
classes informative, they are filled with laughter in a non-stressful, supportive environment.
These workshops are designed to leave you feeling energized and rejuvenated. The workshops are
six weeks long and cost $200. At the end of the course you will perform live onstage.

Improvisation
Improvisation is to invent, compose, or recite without preparation; the art of working off the top of your head. The class focuses on performance structures that professional comedians actually use in their shows. These theater exercises introduce you to the world of spontaneous humor. The class is a lot of fun. It helps you with character development while increasing your confidence on stage. At the end of the six-week course, you will perform a 3 to 5 minute set in front of a live audience. The next class begins in 2009. The dates TBA.
Performance Writing
This class is designed for those that have taken at least one Stand Up class. The Performance Writing class is one of our favorites. For the first class you bring in 10 new jokes that you've written and perform them on stage. You also make copies of the jokes for the other class members. You get feedback from the class as well as from the teacher helping you to fine tune the material. For homework, you write 10 new jokes and you write at least one comment or idea on the other class member's jokes. You go through each joke everyone has written and try to come up with a new idea that will make their joke better. At the start of the next class, you get back all of your material with the classes new ideas. It is a great way to write new material for your show and to get useful perspectives from your classmates. At the end of the six weeks, you will perform a 5 minute set in front of a live audience. The next class TBA.
